In this exercise we were asked to find two logos and two business cards, one design we like and one we don't and discuss why and how as a designer we would rework it.
My first business card is from a short stay self contained accommodation from my home town. What I liked about the card initially was the design of the horse and the number eight. After that it gets to congested with information which doesn't need to be there. The space between the image of the horse and information is too big. I would alter this design by incorporating the horse and the roman numerals together and shorting the information to just the address and website.
The second business card I found was for a local hairdressing business in Wagga. What I liked about the card straight off was the fact that its double sided and laminated which makes it more versatile and durable. The front side has just the name of the business with little graphic which looks like hair and ties in well with the business. On the back of the card is the address and a space to the right side of the card for your next appointment time, this is tilted slightly. Overall this card works because its simple and effective.

Design Breif For Cactus TV
I have been asked to design a logo for a new free to air comedy channel, Cactus TV.
The channel is aimed at both children and adults. The client indicates that the comedy channel logo because its simple and vibrant, but would like to steer away from purple.
The client would also like two different logos, one for the children time slot and one for the adults time slot.
This logo will be displayed mainly on television but has to work for a broad range of media. Also the client would like to see a watermark of the logo.
